IPC has established a common platform for Material Composition Declaration. Altera has adopted the IPC-1752A reporting format for material declaration data exchange between Altera and the downstream supply-chain participants.
IPC-1752 version 1 is available in Adobe Portable Document format (.pdf) and also Extensible Markup Language format (.xml). The .xml version supports the applicable RosettaNet data exchange established by IPC. IPC-1752 version 1 supported restriction of hazardous substances (RoHS) regulations up to June 2006. Any changes or addition beyond June 2006 will be incorporated in ICP-1752A.
IPC-1752A supports EU RoHS and all the released REACH Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs) in one form. Any legislative updates or changes will be incorporated when the schema is released by IPC. Custom queries will be added when requested. In the IPC-1752A, the data exchange format is specified as .xml. Using a software tool of the user's choice, relevant data can be displayed in human readable format. The data structure is based on an underlying Unified Modeling Language (UML) model, which in turn is represented by a .xml schema which is used to validate the .xml data files.
To obtain the material declaration in IPC-1752A, please enter the Altera ordering part number and select your desired output type as follow:
JAMP (Joint Article Management Promotion Consortium) AIS (Article Information Sheet) is a business-to- business (B2B) information exchange protocol that is established for transferring the information especially on chemical substance contained in the products.
JAMP AIS is used to deliver data items concerning articles such as “mass”, “part”, “material” and “presence of regulated substances, material name, quantity and concentration per articles” to downstream users.
The material composition on Altera’s JAMP AIS format can be transmitted by using the .xml defined on the AIS. To obtain the material declaration is AIS format, please enter the Altera Ordering Part Number and select JAMP AIS on the Desired Output Type.
Altera also supports Compliance Connect™ form, which is a reporting tool developed by the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG). To obtain material declaration in this format, please file a service request at mySupport.
